  • Structural Study

    Representations

A detailed structural model of a tiny home, showcasing the intricate assembly of its foundational floor, wall frameworks, roof trusses, and roof structure. The model utilizes wood for the primary structural elements, with fluted chipboard applied as exterior cladding to simulate realistic paneling.

  • Inverted Truss Bridge

Structures Partnered with Gary Glinsey and Brianna Warwick

This bridge was inspired by the structural principles of railway bridges featuring inverted trusses. The design aims to replicate the load-bearing capacity of a full-scale bridge, demonstrating structural integrity through its construction. Composed of 200 popsicle sticks, the model successfully withstood a load exceeding 75 pounds, exemplifying the efficiency and strength of its truss system.

  • Motion model

    Studio Three

This model was developed following an in-depth analysis of the kinetic process involved in placing a contact lens on the eye. The design employs a black box framework to delineate two primary spatial zones: one above the surface and one internal. Tensioned pins and string articulate these zones, abstractly representing the eye's form and interaction both above and beneath the surface plane.
